Hello All,
We are planning to implement cFolders. I would like to know
1. Minimal Hardware requirements,
2. S/W license and Cost.
I came across Master Guide, Application Operation Guide of cFolders from service market place. But the above two things are not clear to me.
I have gone through the FAQ of cFolders 3.0, But I want the FAQ of cFolders 4.5. Where will I get this document?
Kindly share these info ASAP. Thanks!!!
Regards,
Saravana
Hi,
with regards to license costs - cFolders requires user-specific licenses, either SAP Professional User, typically for the internal users that are using it (many times this does not require additional licensing if the user has SAP Professional User anyway already since he uses SAP ERP), or SAP Project User, for internal or external occasional users that do only review and approve objects like documents, BOMs, or ECNs.
With regards to hardware sizing - this really depends on your needs. E.g. if you want to manage lots of documents, you will probably want to leverage associated distributed content server architecture rather than storing documents on the web application server itself. I do not have a link for a sizing guide.
With regards to FAQ - most probably these are available in an SAP note. Should be very similar to earlier releases though. What are you up to?
Ulf.

Hi,
not sure what your scenario is. What do you want to do with cFolders? Can you explain the scenario? Do all the users that will use the scenario have an SAP Professional or an SAP Limited Professional user license since they use SAP DMS in SAP ERP? In this case no additional licenses are required.
Ulf.
Hello Mr. Petzel,
At the moment, We would like to implement cFolders for collaborative scenario. In this case, not all the users are having SAP access. Hence, I would like to know the cFolder license cost per user.
In future, If we go for competitive scenario for bidding purpose. Does it mean that we should have SRM with SAP Bidding engine? I'm not clear on this. Could you please clarify me the cFolder implementation for bidding purpose also. Thanks!!
Regards,
Saravana
