Hello Friends,
I am booking absences from 3 various quota group (exp:- L-1, L-2, L-3) but absence is deducting from single quota (L-1), even if i select L-2/L-3 in pa30--> IT2001 Stype- L2/L3. Still deduction is happening from L-1.
Deduction rule is maintained as below.
Please help me to sort out this problem.
regards,
Amit
Yeah Venkatesh,
As i was in notion that under one deduction rule it will work but because of this error i am going to maintain 3 deduction rules now.
Keep you posted once it's working.

According to the deduction rule priority it is working fine, If you wanted to deduct L1 from L1 quota, L2- from L2 quota subsequently L3-from L3 quota then define 3 deduction rules and assign it to each absence type with the help of counting rule then it works else it works according to the priority.

Hi Amit
You specify multiple quota types in the deduction rule, then the system would make the deductions as per the deduction priority. Since you have given Priority 1 to quota types, it means that the sequence in which you have written the quotas becomes the priority. Thus, L-1 would get deducted first. Only when L-1 is exhausted, the system would start making deductions from L-2.
Also, it seems you have set the same deduction rule for all the 3 leave types and thus all of them deduct L-1 quota first as per the deduction rule.
Hi Shruti,
I have maintain all 3 absences under one deduction rule because all are in same time unit (hours). But problem is, when i select "Quota type" as not relevant despite Priority1 in deduction rule, system itself must identify the deduction of absences, in my case it is taking L-1 as priority 1.

Hi Amit
If you need different quotas to be deducted for different absence types then you need to create different deduction rules for each. Each deduction rule is assigned to a different counting rule which is further assigned to different absence types.
I would suggest that you do a bit of reading on quota types and deduction rules before you start to configure. The problem in not in the system but in your understanding of the concept. Once you read through I am sure you will be able to configure it correctly as your requirement is quite simple.
