Workflows (UWL) working with Non SAP systems?

Good day,

I have been reading, and reading and can't find a decent answer to my question. So here it goes:

How do we integrate non SAP system with the UWL iView?

We have Universal Worklist (UWL) iView set up with R/3 systems onto the Portal (running ep6 sp11). We would like to receive, within the UWL inbox, workflows that are not from SAP systems such as Documentum.

Is there a quick and easy way of having your Non SAP Workflows to the UWL iView.

If this is not the case, I was thinking of creating an UWL connection (within the Portal UWL configuration) to a system that would emulate an r/3 workflow request (using xml or whatever is being used).

I have just started looking at UWL, does this make sense? Or my only hope is to start playing with foundation classes and get myself involved in some nightmare development.

SAP mentions that UWL receives workflow from other non SAP systems. Anyone has experience with that?

Your help is appreciated,

Kind Regards,

Jim

    Hi Jim,

This question has been asked and answered before on this forum. The functionality you are looking for is available but currently in pilot mode. Also you would need to be on at least ep6 sp14 to use it.

If you need it urgently please contact Alan Rickayzen, this forum's moderator, and he can give further information/advice.

    Regards,

    Jocelyn
