Hello,

Since we installed SAP BO BI 4, tomcat has stopped several times but we don't know why.

Do you have an idea how to solve this behaviour ?

Thanks for your help

Antoine

Hello,

Patch level is SP4

Tomcat stopped at 9h45 this morning.

Here is what I can see in Tomcat log (commons deamon) :

[2015-03-11 09:45:39] [info]  Stopping service...

[2015-03-11 09:45:40] [info]  Service stopped.

[2015-03-11 09:45:40] [info]  Run service finished.

[2015-03-11 09:45:40] [info]  Commons Daemon procrun finished

I am going to try your kb article even if logs are not the same.

Thanks

Hi Antone,

As mentioned by Denis please check the Tomcat logs for the "Access violation" etc error messages that will give you a clear idea.

Hello Asma,

Thanks for your help, I did open an incident on sap support portal and their answer was this kb article:

1906557 - Tomcat crash due to EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in the zip.dll with Java_java_util_zip_ZipEntry_initFields

I disabled tomcat compression, I will see if it happen again.

Hi Antoine,

Even I had referred the same note that I provided to you initially and disabled compression feature as directed.

It worked for me.
