Hallo Friends

I need to know, how i connect my VM SAP Hana Express with ADT (ABAP DevelopmentTools) in eclipse : The IP of the virtual machine doesnt work

Hello Lutz,

I'm not an expert for HANA Express nor for connectivity, so I'm not sure if I understood you correctly but I still would like to try an answer:

ADT is meant for ABAP development and therefore it is designed to connect to ABAP Application Servers (AS ABAP) / NetWeaver. If you want to directly connect to a HANA DB server you maybe want to use HANA Studio instead of ADT.

Do you have a ABAP system / AS ABAP instances running on top of your HANA Express DB layer? Did you try to connect to the IP of an ABAP application server or did you try to connect to the IP of the DB server?

Can you provide an error message for "doesnt work"?

There is no ABAP in SAP HANA Express. So the short answer is - you can't.

However if you mean HANA Studio, then use the ip address with port 30015. E.g. 1.1.1.1:30015
