Inspection Point / User field combination

Hi Team

In configuration we can define maximum 6 fields for Inspection point / User field combination like text length 18, text length 10, number length 10, number length 3, date and time but we hae requirement to hae more fields how we can do this or any work around for this requirement.

Ramesh,

Standard SAP has designed the Inspection Point configuration with only 6 fields. We need to understand that it is not a substitute of result recording to gather additional information, but a specific pointer to give flexibility to remain common during multiple results being recorded for the same input. So we need to judge the scope of the requirement itself, and fit-in with other alternatives.

a) If you need something more to be made as fixed, please use LT update for MIC at Result recording, or short Text update adjacent to MIC results.

b) You can explore the below two exits -

QEEM0012 User exit: add. functions before valuating partial sample

Note: While you activate this, please check if you can create a pop-up to collect additional data, and then update those results in some Z-tables, specially maintained to complement result recording tables.

QEEM0011 User exit: add. functions before valuating insp. characteristics

Well, as I suggest, you should first try to concentrate on the option a) only to be more closer to standard SAP solution. Else, you can explore the proposal to move on. I am not having much ABAP background so you may need technical advice on this matter.
