  • ASUG Webcast: HCM US Payroll - TUB Workbench, A Tool To Apply TUBs (March 17, 2014) On March 17, 2014, SAP presented a new tool (Synchronize Payroll Tax Data) which will replace the current process of Tax Update Bulletin (TUBs) in the future. For more information, refer to the presentation slides. SAP will also release an FAQ Note about this topic in the near future.



Information


The delivery of Tax Update Bulletin notes for Tax Factory 10.0 will be replaced completely by the Synchronize Payroll Tax Data (HRPAYUS_SYNC_TAX_DT) transaction, available with the March 2014 HR Support Package. After April 2015, tax data configuration will be available only via the Synchronize Payroll Tax Data tool and the delivery of Tax Update Bulletin notes will be discontinued. Plan the adoption of the new tool in advance. More information can be found in SAP Note 1975742.

    Hi Graziela,

    When we run the sync tool it's creating "invalid" authority / tax type combinations in T5UTD. For instance, it's creating an entry for FED and tax type 11. Can you tell me where it's getting the data to make that decision? We can't see in BSI where there is mapping between the authority and the tax type. I've searched the BSI Tax Factory thread and I didn't see anything. I also looked through the list of notes on this one and didn't see it.

    For anyone interested, I documented the process of setting up and using the Sync tool as it worked for us in a blog at Synchronize Payroll Tax Data. Granted, our tax situation is considerably simpler than many others -- no state or local income tax, no reciprocals, no courtesy withholding, no custom tax types, etc -- and by now it seems most following this thread have figured out the basics of getting the tool working. Still, I've summarized what I know about it, including a workaround for one problem I and a couple others are still experiencing, and someone may find this useful.

      Hi Linda Jo,

      If you have any customization then which client are you running the sync tool; in client 000 or in configuration client? If it is 000 the we will always have to ask basis team to do it and this is more or less similar to existing process. You guidance will be of great help. Thanks!!

    Dear Community,

    I have some exciting news to share! SAP has worked with BSI for the last months to enable a big enhancement in the Synchronize Payroll Tax Data tool.

    After you install SAP Note 2176339 and TaxFactory 10.0 cyclic G, you will be able to run the Synchronize Payroll Tax Data tool without entering any effective dates into its selection screen. This means that in order to synchronize the data of a new Regulatory Bulletin (or several at once) you just need to run the tool and transport the entries. No additional steps required!

    Furthermore, with SAP Note 2176339, you are no longer required to have TUB 019 installed in your system to execute the tool.

    Graziela,

    Running sync tool in our client 000 for Tub 42. Tubs 42 shows I should have entries for table T5UTX. But when I run the sync tool, it says there were no entries for this table.

    Is there a recommendation, when running the tool for the first time, about whether to run it manually in each environment (DEV, QAS, PRD) once before using transports from DEV in subsequent runs? I'm wondering if there is any advantage in doing so, since the first productive run makes quite a few changes (i.e., the migration from BTXTAXC to T5UTZC). Or will those first-run changes be correctly captured in the transport?

    Hi,

    While implementing note 2127736 BSI: allow Sync. Payroll Tax Data to process tax authority mappings only, we encountered this error:

    Include RPUPAYUS_SYNC_TAX_DATA_S00

    Type "HRPAYUS_PROCESS_MAPPINGS" is unknown.

    SAP is already looking at this and will provide the solution once we get response from them.

      Hi Matt,

      SAP released a new version of the OSS Note 2127736 (BSI: allow Sync. Payroll Tax Data to process tax authority mappings only) and another prerequisite note to it, that is the 2141706 (BSI: dictionary objects for SAP note 2127736) to in order to avoid activation errors encountered while implementing 2127736.

      We have now implemented these two notes successfully.

    Hi Graziela,

    I have two concerns.

    1. I've created transport request from the development system and applied to our quality system. Every tables was updated except for T5UTD.

    I wouldn't think it mattered, but I thought I would create a new trasnport request for Client specific from the configuration system and try again.

    2. I've got an error for T5UTD. "It was not possible to insert entry FED 03201412312005010110 in table T5UTD".

    We've applied SAPnote2130013 already.
