Thanks Vivek for giving a quick reply.

I got an overall idea of valuating time wage types in payroll  with valuation basis. This will address the issues like how overtime hours are converted to monetory terms in payroll. However my question is - Can we process the actual  working days (wt 9000) (the days ee worked in the organization) and absence days (mainly LOP days) in  similar ways by multiplying valuation base with number of hours?

As a trial, I did the same in X115  and in PCR X020 (gross n RT storage of time w.types) I see the wt 9000 generated with the right amount. My question is - how and where  this amount will further be processed in payroll ..

pls advise

Depending upon from which model wage type, you copied 9000, the processing will happen.

Generally, for time wage types, the amount of the wage type gets added to gross cumulation wage type for processing. If the amount is taxable, it gets added to the taxable component too.

Ok.. I copied 9000  from /852.

One more question Vivek- what to do with the LOP wage types (copied from /846)? Do I need to assign a valuation basis to them too ?
