Strange error when saving the report

Hi this is a new one. I wrote simple report and try to save with or without data. getting same error sequence.

"Failed to save Document"

I hit OK

"Failed to save Database information"

hit OK

"Database Connector Error. 'The Specified object was not saved'

where is the problem here?

See this:

You have to update or change the database connection. This issue causes

• This message is displayed when opening Crystal Reports from a network consisting lose connection.
• This error condition might also occur when computer is into Hibernate mode , leaving Crystal Reports running and connected to the database on a network server.

if you could let us know the version of Cr, that would be great. Please be precise.

Also, enter the string 'crystal failed to save Document' in the search box (top right corner) then filter for SAP Notes (under Assets - left side of page). You will get a few hits that may help.
