We are creating a program to check the status of field TSP02-PJSTATUS.
When we tested out program we noticed that the time it takes for PJSTATUS to be set to complete is unpredictable. We assumed that this field would be updated to "complete" as soon as "Processing by spool work process completed" (as indicated in transaction SP01) but we are seeing cases where the document printing has completed before the PJSTATUS is updated. In other cases the update takes place quickly.
What triggers the update to field TSP02-PJSTATUS, and can the update be made to occur faster? Ideally we'd like to update to take place as soon as the spool work process is finished with processing.
