Running Backorder processing (/SAPAPO/BOP) but it is not generating TQAs

Hi,

I am running BOP, I do see that once BOP job is complete, CIF queues get created.

I can see sales order CIF queues in ECC I/B ( I have blocked ECC I/B to check the queue content), but I observed that there are no TQAs in /SAPAPO/AC06 for my BOP.

I know when BOP runs it creates TQAs, then queues are sent over to ECC, once sales orders are updated queues come back to APO and update APO database and delete the TQAs. In the scenario I have mentioned my CIF queues are not yet processed and they are present in ECC I/B but still I don't see TQAs in APO.

Can anyone help me if they faced similar situation in the past, or if there is any setting which I might be missing.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks in advance.

Anupam

    Hello Anupam,

Your understanding is slightly incorrect on TQA concept w.r.t BOP. FYI...There will be a TQA that gets generated during BOP run but once the sales order CIF queue is dispatched, the TQA will not be there anymore because the CIF queue already has the confirmation details and it will be sent to ECC system for udpating your sales document. But, at this point in time, the Live Cache would not have the updated document information until the acknowledgement queue comes back to gATP system and updates the Live Cache. At this moment, the BOP status would get turned from "U" to "X".

On the other hand, when you create / change the sales document in ECC ( VA01/ VA02), there will be a TQA holding the confirmation and it will be deleted and the sales order information will be updated in LC once the CIF queue comes into gATP system.

    Hope this helps

    • Hello Anupam,

Yes right after updating the sales orders in R/3 or ECC, corresponding temporary quantity assignments (TQAs) will be deleted automatically

TQAs caused by back-order processing are deleted by report /SAPAPO/BOP_DELETE.

Did you check the status of your BOP?

Also check the BOP log transaction /sapapo/bop_result -> display messages -Ctrl+F3

Also active ATP application log /SAPAPO/ATPLOG for the BOP user and check the results.

    Hello Anupam,

What the execution mode of BOP?

    Update, simulation or parallel processing?

    Please refer the OSS note,

1382733 - No TQAs in parallelizing backorder processing

    Execute the report /SAPAPO/BOP_CHECK_STATUS

Also note in AC06 keep User field blank.

    Dear Anupam,

Check whether the report /SAPAPO/OM_DELTA_REMOVE_OLDER is running in your system, this deletes the TQA's from the system.

Also go through the below note, which might help you.

    Hi,

if you are using parallel processing in BOP then remove the check in the BOP variant and execute the BOP again. it will work.

    Hi Anupam,

Has your issue of not finding TQA's in APO resolved?

I simulated your situation by running BOP with manual CIF processing but I can see TQA's in APO.

Also, as per SAP documents, it is always expected to have TQA generated in APO so I suggest you to get in touch with SAP for further analysis of your issue, if it is not resolved.

    Thanks,
