Re-Using a business system

Former Member

Hi all,

I am using a R/3 business system in two scenarios in XI, one R/3 -> XI -> JDBC and one R/3 -> XI -> MDM. However, when I send an IDOC from the R/3, it only goes into the JDBC. How can I 'tell' it which scenario it should use??

Regards, Michael

Michael,

You can definetly re-use the business system across all the scenario.

Grouping BS to a scenario is just logical composition.

In the runtime depending on the sender agreement and the interface determination and reciever agreements it can find it out.

So you can use the same BS in as many scenarios as u want.

Hi,

Apart from the solutions already given , did you have a look at this?

/people/sriram.vasudevan3/blog/2005/09/01/mdm-55-data-distribution-using-sap-xi

It uses MDM and SAP XI.

Hi Michael,

You can use receiver determination for more than one reciever for a sender.

You can take a look at this link to get more information about receiver determinations.

hi,

you have to configure receiver determination

correctly - to send messages to both or one

based on come conditions

have a look at Defining Conditions section;

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/6a/b7eb412d7f9c39e10000000a155106/frameset.htm

if you want to send to both at once

you just have to add the second receiver in your receiver determination
