GTS Screening for Materials

Hi Experts,

Do we have a screening for Materials? because as of today I only screening and releasing blocks for Business partner and Documents for SPL.

If GTS have it, what is the process in releasing it and if not how do GTS screens the Materials that have a Hazardous Substance?

you have the "wrong" picture how GTS is designed.

Story is like:

You have a SAP ERP and a SAP GTS installation.

in SAP ERP you create a new material number; if you have done proper set up then this material number will "flow" to GTS.

Now in SAP ERP the real processes are started in either SAP MM or SAP SD. If you have done proper set up: e.g. a purchase order is "transferred" to GTS. Now in GTS the "checks" are running using the material numbers as part of the purchase order, If some data is found indicating that you have to consider a "hazardous substanc": then by using SAP ERP/SAP GTS integration you can "block" the follow on processes in SAP MM or SAP SD:

To a certain extent: the GTS process support the "check" of data to make sure that you are compliant; please check EHS community; you will find some discussions there how to use SAP GTS.
