Marketing attribute value different in Display/Change mode

Hi all,

For a particular customer when we are trying to see the marketing attribute value using the transaction BP, then we see different values in display/change mode.

We have checked at the table levels and a particular value is maintained there. But when we are trying to go to the change mode the value changes. It's weird! Has anyone faced this issue before?

Is there any workaround?

Regards,

Suman

Hi,

Delete all the marketing attribute set for he particular BP and reassign it again. It will appear correctly.

Hi Suman

Are you able to add some screen shots of the particular issue

hi Arden,

Unfortunately it's not possible to add screenshots for client confidentiality. It is one particular field in our marketing attribute which should be set with an Yes/No value.

In the BP tcode, when we are in the display mode the value is 'No'. But when we want to change it to 'yes' and go to the change mode it automatically changes to 'Yes'. Yet when we save it and go to display mode it changes back to 'No'.

Also, this is a one off case, we don't have this problem for all customers.

Hi Suman

What version of SAP CRM are you running?

What happens when you try to maintain using the WEB UI?

we are using CRM 5.0. unfortunately,We don't have a way to maintain it using Web UI.

this is very rare and is the case for only a couple of customers...for all the rest it's fine. pretty weird!

Hi Suman

I'd find it unusual that it cannot be maintained in the Web UI for CRM 5.0.

Regardless of that.

I would record all Attributes assigned to the BP for that Attribute Set.

Clear all of the values assigned and delete the Attribute Set against that BP.

Then reapply the Attribute Set and the values you recorded.

I've seen similar issues to what you're experiencing and hopefully this will resolve it.

Hi Arden,

Thank You so much for your response!

It is production data, and we would need permission/authorization from business to readjust the data. Any idea why this might be happening? or is it plain SAP malfunctioning?

Hi Suman

I've seen it happen once or twice before.

Not really sure as to why it happens, a "funky" kink in SAP CRM.

If the issue does persist I would recommend raising an Incident with SAP. Also check for some correction notes on this subject matter.
