Insight on the integration process between C4C and ECC required

Hi,

can anyone provide me some deeper insight into the integration scenario for sales between C4C and ECC.....

  1. when in the process are Request for Quote and Request for Order used in ECC?
  2. when and how will the request documents become real quotes and orders in ECC?
  3. How does the complete process flow looks like from Opportunity to order with the ECC integration?
  4. How are ECC pricing conditions usd in C4C?

Thank you and Regards

Florian

Hi Florian,

if you go to this site on SMP: http:/service.sap.com/hybrid you will fnd a more detailed description of the process (Sales/Service/Marketing -> ERP and Cloud for Customer -> Strategic Selling). Also please note, that with C4C 1502 you will be able to create EPR sales orders directly out of C4C without the need to send a request to ERP for someone to take a look at.

Hope this helps.

Hi Dirk,

thank you for the link. It helps...

As I see, in C4C you can also create quotations and sales orders directly. How are these pure C4C documents connected to the respective SAP ECC document, or are just purely C4C docs?

The reason for my question. Our customer wants to use as much functionality as possible withing C4C for the sales reps. But the quotation has to be in ECC and changeable in C4C by the sales rep. How can this be achieved?

Fiorian,

Quotation can be bi directional means changes made in C4C will be replicated to ECC and changes made in ECC can be replicated over C4C.

You can limit user access to certain aspect such as, restrict C4C user from creating new quotation. But they can modify the existing quotations. This can be achieved by fine turning the access in business roles.

Hello Florian,

Integration scenario that are supported for transaction data is as shown in below screenshot from latest standard 1502 integration guide.

Yes, Quote and Sales Orders can be used purely as C4C documents. You can access the Pricing Information from ECC for both and request for the follow up documents in ECC if required.

Else Sales Representative can also create the pure Quote/Order in C4C itself.

Hope this helps.

Hi Chandan,

what we want to implement is the following...

1. Sales rep starts the opportunity and quotes via C4C and the quote is immediatelly created in SAP

2. The sales rep makes changes in C4C which should immediately be reflected in SAP

3. BackOffice makes changes in SAP which should immediately be reflected in C4C

Is this possible.... and .... what about the document numbering between SAP and C4C... will they be the same or different as it is logically the same document?

Cheers

Florian,

All the three situation are possible. The communication between C4C and ECC can be synchronous.

C4C quote and ECC quotation document numbers are different.

Florian,

As you can see in the screenshot above, as of now direct replication of Quote is not possible.

Now I am a little confused. Possible/not possible.

Would it be possible and can anyone provide some real screenshots of C4C with ECC integration... I know the flow but so far haven´t done the integration...

Maybe you can write down the exact flow and what will happen based on my required process... and maybe you can explain me the alternatives

Required process

1. Sales rep starts the opportunity and quotes via C4C and the quote is immediatelly created in SAP

2. The sales rep makes changes in C4C which should immediately be reflected in SAP

3. BackOffice makes changes in SAP which should immediately be reflected in C4C

Thank you!

Florian,

Ohhh two exactly different replies!! I can understand you would be confused.

My reply as mentioned above is based on 1502 released integration guide and my overall ECC integration experience with C4C. But if there is possibility for direct quote synchronous replication between the two systems then I will surely like to know more on it.

It would be helpful if Srikant can elaborate on this. Or maybe some SAP C4C expert can put some lights on this.

Fiorian,

Chandan is right. Quote changes are unidirectional. You can make changes in C4C quote and then create external followup document. This process will create new quote in ECC. If you make changes in ECC quote, changes will not be available in C4C.

Hi guys,

thank you for clarification.... Still some questions

1. I create the quotation in C4C

2. I request the creation of a ECC quotation

3. I make changes to the existing C4C quotation

Question: Will this update the existing one or do I have to create a new one always?

1. I create the quotation in C4C

2. I request the creation of a ECC quotation

3. I make rejection of items to the existing C4C quotation

Question: Will the existing ECC quotation get the rejections or will there be a new one in ECC?

So the process required by our customer as written above is not possible at all.

1. Sales rep starts the opportunity and quotes via C4C and the quote is immediatelly created in SAP

2. The sales rep makes changes in C4C which should immediately be reflected in SAP

3. BackOffice makes changes in SAP which should immediately be reflected in C4C

If I get it right based on our discussion, it has to be like this:

1. Creation of C4C quotation

2. Request of ECC quotation

3. Transfer of ECC quotation link to C4C with certain details

4. No update of the C4C quotation from ECC

5. Updates in ECC quotation will be sent to the linked SAP ECC document of the C4C quotation

5. Printing of C4C quotation forbidden, only printing of ECC document allowed

Question: What about all the C4C sales reports for quotations... as the C4C quotation is just a dummy one, as the leading quotation is in ECC. How are the reports using the ECC quotation details?

Cheers

Florian,

I think you still confused.

Lemme explain the present possibility in C4C. Please refer the above figure while I explain it.

For Opportunity:

1. Opportunity is created in C4C.

2. Pricing from ECC is fetched into C4C using integration after adding the already integrated products.

3. Request for Quote/Sales Order is send to ECC from C4C using integration.

4. Here in ECC these requests will be further processed to Quote/Sales Order and just the PDF document will be sent back to C4C which can be seen under Sales Document facet for Opportunity.

5. Process complete.

For Quotes:

1. Quotes are created in C4C.

2. Fetching of prices is done from ECC for already integrated ECC products.

3. Request for Sales Order is sent to ECC which is further processed for Sales Order creation.

4. PDF document is then sent back to Quote on C4C where we can see it under Sales Document Facet of Quote.

5. Process Complete.

No changes in the Opportunity or Quote will be reflected amongst the system since as of now we don't have direct integration of these objects in ECC integration. So no Quote will be formed in ECC once Quote on C4C is created nor would it be modified as per C4C modifications.

This also means that your next question of rejection is also not possible since there is no replication of Quote itself.

Moreover we can also have the control on pricing to have the stand alone feature working irrespective to the integration. Please refer the below discussion. (This discussion not completed though, but you might get some idea)

Hope this atleast clarify some of your questions!

Let me know if you still have any queries.

Cheers,

Chandan

Hello Florian,

Please refer the below screenshot for your answer.

Steps:

1. Negotiated price for the Integrated Product from ECC is fetched into the C4C Opportunity via Integration. (Clicking the option, Action => Request Pricing)

2. When it is required to Request for Quote/Order, this request is send from C4C to ECC.

3. Now here in ECC, these requests can be converted to Quote/Order as can be seen in above snap.

4. Now this Followup document is send to C4C where these documents can be seen under Sales Document facet for Opportunity.

Hope this help.

Regards,

Chandan
