Hi Experts,

We have deployed the Work Manager application to SMP 3.0.We have done customization's in Agentry front end,Java,ABAP. Done the necessary modifications in Agentry.ini file, added the custom jar file in java folder, published the front end application to server, mapped all custom handlers, filters java classes in configpanel. When we have tried to sync the custom application, encountered the "Communication error".Checked the server logs and found COM.SYCLO.AGENTRY.BUSINESSLOGICEXCEPTION: INVALID CREDENTIALS | .Event logs contain the error "Error in updating service. Exception: NameSpace can not be left empty |".

Please suggest how to proceed further. Thanks in advance.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi Experts,

Thanks for your replies. The JavaBE.ini file is configured properly with correct password.I am encountering communication error issue in iPad when trying to deploy the custom java code to SMP Server.I have copied the custom jar file into Java folder of the application and have set the class path to point the custom jar file and performed a restart of Agentry Application and SMP Server.

Please correct if I have went wrong in the procedure of deploying custom Java code to SMP Server.I have done customization's in Agentry front end,Java and ABAP.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks & Regards,

Sravanthi,

Can you  check couple of things in management cockpit

1) When u created Agentry apps in cockpit what is the authentication type u used ?

2) What is the URL your using  to access WM apps ? and what is the application given to WM apps.

3) Are you able to  getting  response back  from server when u try to ping  URL from the ipad ?

4) Are u getting password error  only when u try to login from ipad ?

5) can you test backend connection using connecttest.bat from cmd prompt ?

6) can you verify ur connecting to right backend  system ?

Thanks

Manju.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. The authentication type in cockpit is "default". I am using the correct URL to connect to the server. I have successfully connected to the application multiple times and i could able to get "i am here" page.Once the syn time was too long so i have restated the Agentry application in cockpit and performed sync from the device. Now i have encountered "Communication error".I could not able to see "i am here" page and the java back end connections in cockpit have been lost.I have not done any modifications for Agentry application in SMP Server.I could even able to login with the correct password in ECC. When checked in events log found "error validating user password".I have encountered the above error for custom application. Now i have performed sync of the standard application, and the sync gets struck and "logging user into server" for a long time.

Kindly suggest how to proceed further. Thanks in advance.

Sravanthi,

Not sure what happened to the published Agentry apps.   If your not able to see any  backend connections details  in  management cockpit then mostly likely the published agentry apps  is corrupted or something happened.  The only option I  can think of is to re-publish  agentry apps and try to re-connect.

Are you  using clustering by any chance ?

Thanks

Can you post a copy of a copy of the events.log file?

Hi Stephen,

Many thanks for the reply.Event logs contains the information "No backends loaded. Please check server startup logs and another error is JAVA EXCEPTION CAUGHT: com.syclo.agentry.AgentryException: Error validation user password, when i have checked the startup logs found that the sub-url has not been generated.I could able to log in to ECC successfully using the same password through GUI.When checked in JavaBE.ini file found that the password is encoded.

I have not done any changes to the application.Since the app got struck while performing sync, i have restarted the SMP Server. Now getting the error "No back end loaded" while performing sync.Back end configurations in cockpit has been disappeared. So i have restarted the Agentry application in cockpit but no luck. Some times the back end configurations are loading but missing "java" section. Please suggest how to proceed further.

Thanks in advance.

You can  use "‘/SYCLO/CORE_MAPP_COMPARE_PROG’   program  to compare 2 mobile applications for any missing parameters on SAP side.  if everything looks   fine on config panel side then i would to  try to re-deploy the Agentry app and re-try it.

Thanks

Manju.

Hello,

Is there any error in SMP logs?. Could you restart the smp server and verify the Agentry startup logs?.

Thanks

What SP is the server and runtime?

Can you try fully closing the client and then reopen it and retest?

At the end of the "Communication error"" there is a number, what number did you get?

Communication error(14) means the client wasn't able to connect to the server.

This can because the network connection between the server is broken or the server is "off".

You said you where able to before the changes.

You say you got " INVALID CREDENTIALS".  I would recommend you check your JavaBE.ini to make sure the user is correct.
