Dear All,

Just want to ask how could I reduce the size of the report which contains dynamic blob images selected from the database?

The crystal report itself has sub-report which datasource is a Command (SQL select script) that selects Base64 data from the DB which automatically converts to a blob image when added on the report.

Is there a way to reduce the size of the PDF generated report? I assume that most of the size of the exported PDF file from the Crystal Report, is because of the blob image.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Mark

Hi Mark,

Images in CR get converted to .bmp and unfortunately, bmp files are usually larger in size.

I'm not sure if you can reduce the size of the generated file other than sacrificing on the quality of the image itself.

Please provide access to the rpt with saved data. I'll run a test on a compress option.
