What is the problem here? Have the work item texts and descriptions been translated to Chinese? Log on to the system in Chinese, open one of tasks (that you expect to be in Chinese) in transaction PFTC. Is the work item text in Chinese?

If the texts in the tasks have been translated, then they should be in Chinese in the inbox also, if the user has logged in in Chinese. If they have not been translated... well, you know what to do.

    Regards,

    Karri

Is single sign on active in your system. Then in that case you have to check:

    1. The default language on logon SAP screen
    2. The default language for user ; check in SU01/SU01D

SAP LOGON Language Configuration | SAPBASISINFO

Have you tried setting his default language? What happened?

Because there are several translation tools/methods, and not all texts can be translated by a single tool, I also suggest Karri's approach is the most reliable for small implementations: Log on in the target language and update all translatable texts.

When you have hundreds of texts then it becomes a bit lengthy and you really need to go with the tools. But for that you have to be a little more organised.
