Error in SAPInst.exe

Hi,

here i am installing IDES 5.0 ON WIN2000 Advanced server with SP4, when i am clicking on sapinst.exe i got below error,

selfextractor error

iaextract.c:883:child has signaled an exec error.Keeping directory C:/DOCUME_1/ADMINI1/LOCALS~1/TEMP/sapinst_exe.1144.-1769464810

what is this one, why this one occures, how can I deal with this problem, pls reply immediately. this is urgent.
