Hi,
When I execute a background job which contains macro with the function ROW_INPUT() for closing key figure for input, I am getting the following error.
"It is not possible to use the function ROW_INPUT() in background processing"
Can some one suggest a different code in the macro to close/open a key figure for input?
Hi Venkat,
ROW_INPUT() function is not compatible with background job.
Macro ROW_INPUT() and CELL_INPUT() would be helpful when you control the read-only of key figure.
You can define the macro as default macro and then maybe check - it should work fine in interactive planning book.
Also please refer this thread -
Hope it helps you.

Hi Alok,
Thanks for your response.
The requirement is: the client wants to use a background job to close/open certain key figures(e.g. Demand Planner Adj) for input at certain dates in each month( the dates will be changing every month). The way they want to change the date is by executing a background job on certain dates of the month.
Is there any other functions in a macro which can be used in background job to open/close key figures for inputs?
Appreciate your help.
Venkat
Hi Venkat
I think if execute the macro in background or you set up the macro through the interactive mode the results should be the same. I think the key is identify the dates on which this default macro should run to close input key figure. You can maintain all the dates for respective months the KF has to be closed.
The default macro can check if system date is equal to date mentioned for closer and can close the KF. I am sure it should be possible with user exit macros. Request you to check and let me know if it helps. It´s also good learning for me

Hi,
Why you want to use this macro function in background job? It's not necessary at all.
Please exclude this macro from your background job.

Ada
