Source Library->Programs - where is the title column?

When I'm searching for a program in the Source Library, I see the list of programs, but there is no column for the Title.  Is there a way to make the title show?

Thanks,

Kenneth

Hi Kenneth,

unfortunately, this is currently not supported. But we are currently discussing if and how we can improve that.

Sorry for that and best regards, Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

I have the same problem, that the short descriptions are not displayed in the Project Explorer.

From your answer i understand that I will be eventually available. With that in mind, I have another question:

it is possible to set through "native" ADT Tools the short description for the developing objects like classes or function modules ? or i must call the object in SAP GUI to set this ( which I find not to optimal)?

As far as i know, by creating a new class in SE80, the short description is a mandatory property to set. With ADT one can this condition bypass, which , from my Point of view, is not consistent.

Can I use ABAPDoc to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Attila

Hi Attila,

you don't need to do this via ABAP Doc. If you want to create a new object in ADT, there is always an input field for the short description. Here's an example for a function module. The same will be there for classes, interfaces, reports etc.

If you want to change the short description (and other attributes) with ADT, just open the view 'Properties' (Short-Cut: Ctrl+3 - Properties) and position the cursor in the respective editor. You will be able to change the description (if you are logged on in the master language of the object).

Best regards, Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

I just wanted to say, that I also like the idea. Even in the Project Explorer it would be very handy to show the short descriptions - this is usefull especially for Dynpros as there are only hard-to-remember numbers.

Keep up the good work!
