Difference between BI content and HANA optimized BI content ?

Hi to all,

Is BW is already have HANA database, what is difference between BI content and HANA optimized BI content.

Can any one explain in general term, I have already gone with SAP HELP but, cant grab more of it.

Does we have HANA optimized BI Content only for DS and FI only.

Hi,

BW HANA enable content is completely migrated to 7.x dataflows and in memory optimized InfoCubes for ALL objects in the BW Content

The SAP HANA-optimized content does contain physical InfoProviders and adheres to the LSA++ architecture paradigm as to reduce persistencies where possible and if it makes sense. One purpose is to provide a guidance of data modelling in the SAP BW on HANA case making use of recent SAP BW features.

For the near future a switch to the recent BW Infoproviders (advanced) DSO and CompositeProvider is planned.

HHi Simon, we are on bw7.3 sp9. But I could not find hana optimised objects delivered in our Business Content?

Any reason?

Hi S Kaur,

for SAP Netweaver BW 7.30 you will need at least BI Content release 7.37 SP04

Hi Pavaneet,

While Building the BW Contnet we have some limitations in the data base and Performance wise hence we have build the Multiple layers to oversome data base performance issues and now in the BW powered HANA we don't have any performance issues hence SAP relased HANA Optimized content which hold only virtual Models and only in data acquisition we will keep the data.

That is the mazor differnece between BI Content and HANA Optmized BI Content.

When it comes functional areas as of now it is partially implmented in FICO , SD and SCM and still the developments is going on.
