Unable to detect an ABAP and/or AS Java instance of the SAP system

Hi ,

We are performing portal upgrade from Nw 7.0 to MW 7.4 .System is distributed system and launched SUM(using SUM sps 16) from SCS server .

We are getting error in the SUM initial page Unable to detect an ABAP and/or AS Java instance of the SAP system .

Please advise.

Regarding the issue, that you are facing, can you mention the exact errro that you are getting along with the error screenshot of teh SUM phase.
