EBP integration with PM and PS

Hi,

We need to integrate Plant Maintenance and Project Systems to SRM-EBP.

Are there standard BAPIs available for the same?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ajith,

PM and PS integration with SRM is possible in 2 ways:

- A scenario exists to get the PM order enriched in SRM, in this scenario the user can add items in the PM order from catalogs or manually. The additionnal items are sent back in R/3, there is no possibility of changing or deleting items that exist already in the PM order in R/3.

This scenario still exists in the system, but has been 'abandoned' by SAP.

- The other option is the 'Plan Driven Procurement': Making this customizing, you can integrate in SRM the PR from an SAP system (so it is after in the R/3 PM orders process, and is not limitated to PR created from a PM order). This PR can be integrated in SRM either as a requirement in the Sourcing Cockpit, or as a incomplete PO.

So please be more precise in the kind of integration you're looking for, the R/3 and the SRM versions you use (the second scenario has been enhanced in the last versions).

Hope it helps.

Hi Vadim,

Thanks for your reply.

We have R/3 4.7 and EBP 3.5 in classic scenario. We need to use EBP for indirect procurement only. Prucurement should be enabled against account assignments categories Cost centers, Orders - Internal / Plan Maintenance and Work Break-down Structure Elements (WBS element in PS).

The user should be able to assign the shopping cart to cost center or PM order or WBS element. This shopping cart should create PR which would get converted to PO in R/3.

Are you aware of any BADIs which we can use to make such scenario possible?

Thanks in advance.

Warm regards,

Ajith Chandran.

Hi,

So you just want you users to be able to assign PM order and WBS elements as account assignment in your SRM documents.

This is posible in standard in SRM, but with your SRM version, there is no direct link with R/3 search helps.

You have to develop your own search help(s) and modify the standard to use this (or these) search help(s).

The 2 solutions you have are:

-Implement a specific interface to store locally the orders in SRM.

-Make a RFC function call in your search help to get the data directly in your backend.

Hello Ajith,

There is also a third scenario for PM:

- direct access to catalog from R/3 Work order transaction to add catalog items as components, via OCI.

Available from R/3 4.7.

This feature (direct access to catalog from work order) has now been extended to MM requisitions and purchase orders as well from ERP 2005.

Kind Regards, Suresh.
