Transferred and Added records

Hi,

When data is loaded into a cube from R/3 the request tab has two columns filled with different numbers of records Viz. Transferred records and Added records.

In my case the no. of transferred records were 32155(which is equal to the number of records in the data source) and no of added records were 19376.

1) What exactly is the significance of these two columns?

2)Why is there an "Added records" column when all i'm doing is just a plain and simple data load.

3) What are the scenarios in which the number of transferred records is more than the number of added records?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Hi Siddarth!

Transferred Record coloumn indicated how many records were tranferred from the source system to BW,means how many records were extracted at that point of time and another Column indicates that the total number of records added to your data target.these two cloumn vales may not be same for all the time, becoz if you have filters at the update rule level....in this case numbers records tranfered and numbers records added might be different.......hope you got my point....if it helps award points

best regards

Hi Ravi,

What Sunil say's its right, and also the add records are depend on different scenario

1. Dropping the unnecessary data at update rules according you business scenario.

2. Dropping duplicate records when you are uploading by the full update method from flat file.
