erroneous System Correction XML in Maintenance Planner

Hello Guys

In Maintenance planner, before planning for a system we do run run the verification checks. it is usually done via the LMDB sync. But For erroneous system, we manually prepare and check the Check wizard. After running the Check wizard in the cycle we get an Correction XML which basically needs to be deployed via SUM( Scenario is Upgrade)

Is it necessary that we should feed the C.XML ?

if not deployed, will it affect the system say might add more components to our installed product version TAB.

Thanks

Manikandan

Hi Manikandan,

I changed the tags on your question to better reflect the topic, as Maintenance Planner and LMDB are more properly part of the Solution Manager family of topics, and SUM comes under Software Logistics.

Cheers,
Matt

Hello Manikandan,

Two parts of it.

1. Fix system definition on Maintenance Planner

2. Upgrade system generated by Maintenance Planner using XML

Once your system is upgraded you are all good but, make sure when you fix system definition on maintenance planner select the components which are you actually using and going to upgrade.

Hi Mani,

When you performing update/upgrade it is not necessary to execute the cisi XML separately because corrections will be part of stack XML.

So when you use the stack XML in SUM. You system will get corrected automatically once update/upgrade is done.
