data in the cube/ ODS?

Hi all,

I would like to ask one simple question. Can someone tell me how to check if infocube/ ODS contains data (instead of checking it by runing reports in BW Analyzer). Thank you.

Hi!

I think you have an idea on where you have all your data targets will be available .please go there and select your data target,say right click,from the context menu you have an option called manage,once you select that option it will leads you into manage data target screen.there you have an option called contents tab.under that you have infocube content option.where as in case of ods,you have three option like new data,active data and change log.you need to select the respective options....hope this will helps you out and award me some points...

Hi John,

In RSA1, find your cube or ODS > right click > Manage > Requests tab. Here you can see the data that has been loaded to the object.

You can also move to the contents tab and look at the contents from here, or at least click on Number of records to get an idea of the volume of data.

Or in SE16 > /BI/A<b>YrODS</b>00 for the ODS active data table and /BI/F<b>YrCube</b>for the cube fact table.

I did check those tab but I didn't see any data load in it. Should SAP demo cube suppose come with data?

Here is my scenario: I tried to uploaded SAP demo cube to one cube or ODS i created and use it to model planning function. But I found that there is no data in my cube or ODS so I start to be wondering if there is any data in SAP DEMO cube and try to check it. Thank you.

hi J,

after installing the demo cube with 'in dataflow before' as mentioned in your other posting, try to check the contents with transaction 'listcube'.
