I have installed SQL 2012 and then B1 9.1 PL05. however wwhen I start the client I get the current server is showing 10 in the Current Server list. No databases are listed.
I have followed the instructions as per:
as the symptoms described here is closely similar, but this has still not resolved this issue.
Any ideas?

Hi Earl
If this is first time installation
then Please check the below points .
1.TAO NT naming service : restart the service.
2.Check firewall : should be disabled
3.SQL server : service is running
4. Antivirus ,if any : should be disabled
5. Native client is installed.
6.follow the steps given by Mr.Kennedy.
if still does not solve , try with 32 bit client installation.

Hi Earl...
SQL native client installed??
You have to set your Server Name in Server Tools->License Manager> Enter B1iSiteUses Password--> Give SQL Server Name and give sa and its password.
This will appear your server and its DB list during SAP Login.
Now in order to make it success please check the Microsoft SQL 2008 Native Client is there installed in Client Machine or not.
If not then first install it and then also check whether that PC is in same workgroup or not......
This will make you success....
Hope helpful .................

Kennedy
