Reserves for WBS

Hi,

We want to post reserves for warranty to FI.

I created a new RA key, new valuation methods with RA type R (=Reserves for Cost of Complaints), category P and assigned this to the needed secondary cost elements.

It works nearly fine:

- cost planning in CJ40

- performing RA and settle posts the planned costs as reserve to FI and COPA

- after posting actual costs the reserve is reduced in FI

- after the WBS is set to technically complete the remaining reserve is reversed and COPA is reversed

What I wonder - after all the steps above the actual costs are still on the WBS and not settled to COPA. I would have expected that at the time of the reversal of the reserve triggered by the status "technically complete" the actual costs would be settled to COPA. That's not the case.

If I look into COPA reports I cannot see the actual costs for the warranty.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I am very interested with the topic, i never try to use RA type 'R',would you mind to share more detail about your test?

i also work on this topic ,and i tried to implement it with Poc and WIP mixed method?

Simple speaking ,during execution ,project will use POC method ,until project reaches the status of 'PAC',a new method defined that the renaming cost will be converted to provision. how do you think ?
