B1if installation on SAP 9.1 PL04

Hi experts,

I have a server that has windows server 2012, SQL express 2012 installed. SAP version is SAP9.1 PL04

Everything works fine until yesterday the server applied a windows update.

After the server reboot, I can't restart B1i service. So I have to remove and reinstall

Then I am having issue on step enter database information.

I entered the Db info, it says checking database connection (in red) and no respond any more. Can't go to the next step.

If I don't put any password, it will tell me I need to enter password.

If I put any password, it will not give me error message just checking database connection

Windows firewall turned off already.

Can anybody please advise? Thanks!

HI,

Please try to delete SAP Business One Integration folder from C Drive & also delete the older B1if database.

Thanks,

Hi,

Were you able to login using the SQL Studio Manager? I think the SQL services is not running.

Thanks for the answer Jim

Yes. I can use SAP, I can use all the add-ons, I can access the DB through SQL except B1if installation

Then I install it from the upgrade wizard, it didn't give me error but didn't really install anything.

I tried to remove B1i, but I can't. It gave me error. Then I tried to install again, it said B1i already installed

Any advise? Thanks a lot!

Hi,

I really haven't tried installing B1i. Are you installing this to client computer or server?

if this is a client computer and the server firewall is turned off, I suggest also to turn off the server's anti virus to isolate the problem.

please also check if the port you are using is in exceptions.

please also try using "IP" of the server instead of the computername.

Regards,

Jim
