Cannot add webdynpro application to theme in Theme Designer

We are in the process of upgrading to 7.4 from 7.0 and I and trying to take advantage of all the new functionality.  I have been working with Theme Designer to try to modify the look and feel, but I am having a problem adding an application to a custom theme I am developing.  When I enter the URL and Name of the application, I get the error:

The following parts of the domain of your custom application and the UI theme designer differ:

- hostname.

- port.

This may lead to an error.  Please check the entered URL

Press OK to proceed anyway.

When I press OK, the application does not load correctly into the theme and I cannot make any changes.   I have verified my URL, so Im not sure why it is throwing this error.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris,

You are right, they are not related, so you can add the link of the application in portal.

ok, I guess I figured out the issue with the error screen, in that I was trying to add the webdynpro abap application to the Theme Designer in portal.  So apparently there is a theme designer in portal, and a theme designer on the abap side, and as far as I can tell they are not related (themes do not reside in one location)?

This is confusing to me, and all the documentation I can find online glosses over or ignores this.
