PCN in WM

Hi Gurus ,

I have done  the GRN (Selected the Quality Inspection Stock)  against the PO without activating the QM inspection type for material .

After the GRN & I Created the Transfer order & confirmed  & taken it  into the fixed bin .

Then I transfer the stock  from Quality to Unrestricted  stock by using MB1B (Mvt Type – 321) Movement .

When it was done I was not able to process the  PCN number  & not able to create a TO as if it was  showing “No quants exist for posting changes “ .

Then I did the BIN to BIN twice using  transfer using LT10  &  taken material in physical bin. It  also removed the  –ve  stock in the intermediate bins .

Material is in correct physical bin with stock category “Unrestricted” & everything seems fine now  . Please let me know whether  Changing the stock category without using the PCN  is correct procedure  or not  ?

OR in WM , we  must use  PCN number to create  transfer order  for transferring  the stock from "Quality" to "Unrestricted " .

Do you really think that changing the stock category without using the posting change notice could be the designed approach by SAP?

You should focus on the message that you received when processing the PCN.

And you should analyze what happened in WM before this issue came up.

A basic training in WM would certainly help, believe it was a training I do not regret.

I am almost certain that you got this error because you moved the stock out of the interim storage bin before you processed the PCN. This message is actually a hint to select the quants yourself as SAP could not find them anymore.
