No alerts generated in BPMon for MAI in SP12

Hi,

I have setup BPMon in SP12 using the MAI infrastructure and have configured the monitors related to Sales and Procurement. But I am only getting grey alerts in the details of the Business Process.

The data collection is not getting triggered as I cannot see any last run time in the alert inbox.

How can I troubleshoot the issue.

Are there any new extractors or framework for MAI where I can check whether everything is working fine?

The page you provided is under construction.

Is there any other SAP document related to the MAI for BPMon and its troubleshooting?

In the MAI_TOOLS I can see the "MAI_BPM_DATA_COLLECTOR_BW" being used for the multiple monitors I have configured but there is no further information whether the data provider is running properly or has some issues.

The document for that is also empty.

How can I investigate further?

Hi Keiji,

The new MAI for BPMon seems to be very unstable. I had a chance to confgure it in 3-4 systems and at all the places I am having the same issue. It works for a 1-2 monitors for a couple of times may be and then there are is no data collection.

One of the system has very less data so it not even an issue of high data load.

Which monitor do you use in your configuration ?

Interface Monitor , Job Monitor,  Normal Application monitor e.g sales doc, purchase etc...

Do you have SAP Note like following ?

I have all these notes in place and I have configured monitors for normal application related as well as for job and interface monitors. There has not been any alert generation in any of the monitors - all are in grey status.

There has been no response on OSS since many days, so I dont have any clue as to what the issue is.

Hi Vishal,

Since SP12, BPMon is moved to MAI infrastructure which same as of Technical Monitoring. You can use MAI_TOOLS txn code for the expert analysis related to data Collectors etc..

Dear Vivek,

I am aware about the MAI and MAI_TOOLS. I have seen the list of data providers there but the status (working or in error) is not shown like we can see it for the older extractors in the "Solman Admin WC" - "Extractor Framework".

Can the new data providers be seen in the "Extractor Framework"?

Is there any particular document describing the MAI data collection procedure?
