Hi Srinivas,

To give overview at high level, SCM solution can be broadly divided in four araes -

1. Supply Chain Planning - Related to Demand planning, cross plant planning, planning at detailed level etc. This is where APO comes

2. Supply Chain Execution - Supply Chain Execution contains planning execution as part of the manufacturing, Materials Management and Logistics Execution components of the  SAP ECC

3. Supply CHain Visibility - Here EM plays a role. Supply  Event Management application within SAP SCM making the business processes transparent across the entire supply chain. By providing a way to handle messages about events in business processes and providing participants in the logistics chain with active notification to draw attention to a critical or exceptional situations, reaction times are shortened and quality and customer satisfaction are improved

4. Supply Chain Collaboration - It includes supporting Collaborative Planning and the exchange of documents with suppliers and customers. Here SAP SNC plays a role.

Hope it helps you. To get more details about each module, you can refer to SAP Help Page.

Alok
