Hi Folks,
Can any one explain me what is relation between scm sub modules like APO(DP,SNP,PPDS,TPVS & GATP),SNC ,EM & TM.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
This is huge topic. genenrally speaking, in APO
DP does long term planning based on historical data, and the forecase resutls can be released to SNP. SNP does middle term planning and SNP orders can be converted to PPDS orders in PPDS planning horizon. GATP can be called for STOs, sales orders, production orders, etc. TPVS is for Transportation Planning and Vehicle Scheduling. Here you can see, inside APO, these functions are indeed has relations.
In the whole SCM system, APO is mainly for planning, SNC is for collabration EM is for coordination, TM is for execution. They are not depend on each other but they are all part of SCM.
