NSP (ABAP) on XP home ?

I read the requirements, but is it really essential to instal on XP professional? I have WebAS 6.20 running on XP home and it works fine. Before I download the 1.5G and try to instal - does someone know for sure if it will work or not? Thanks and best regards, Jurgen

It works fine on Win XP Home SP2.

If you have MiniWAS 6.20 installed in your machine, make sure all the SAPDB related service and registry entry is cleaned up after the uninstall of 6.20 before the install of 700.

Peter, thanks for your answer. However, this raises right away another issue: I didn't plan on removing my 6.20 installation - do I have to? I would like to have both instances on one machine ... (I don't want/need to run them simultaneously). Thanks, Juergen

In the installation requirements there are no remark about this, but as far as I remember I had some problems when I tried to install NSP/6.40 after a not completely clean uninstall of WAS 6.20.

From the other hand I don't see any point to keep both instance, if they are both ABAP engine. If you want to keep you work done in 6.20, put export everything and import them back to 6.40. At least this is what I would do.
