Hi Experts,
Our client is replacing professional user licensing with Project user licensing for project users. I have read about the different user roles types and allowed business transactions with in it. Now, I want to create a project user in a testing client and want to test these roles .
Is it possible?
Kindly suggest, how can I proceed with it.
Thanks & Regards
Saurabh

as long as this is in test system then no worries as SAP only look at Prod licensing data.
any licensing issues you should first contact to your SAP delivery manger and I think you have to first buy these kind of licenses first before you start applying/configure to your system.

Hi Sunil,
I want to check its behavior in test client first (IDES, Development etc.)
How can I proceed for it in testing client. I mean how to create user id for a Project User ? (Can it be done with SU01)
How can I cross check whether the created user id is applicable for Project user type user license only?
Thanks & Regards

That's not always the case. I have more than one client who have licence agreements with costings associated with non-production users.

Assuming they are a standard dialog user then SU01 is the easiest way to create a single user. If you are having doubts then best speak to your security administrator.

You assign a licence to a user so you need to manage this via process. If your project user definition is "X" then you need to make sure that the user meets those specifications (e.g. has "X" role, assigned to "Y" user group, assigned to "project" licence type).
