Uncontrolled Excel opeining while opening some dashboard

While opening any dashboard in BO Dashboard, excel is opening. This excel does not have any spreadsheet. Also, I am not able to close this.

One bad effect of this that when I connect some component to an excel cell the cursor goes to the cell where mouse was clicked earlier. However it should go to the cell which is linked to component.

Kindly tell me solution for this if you ever have faced this.

MS Excel 2013

Goto task manager and kill the excel.exe file and re-open the dashboard.

Although Ms Excel 2013 is compatible for SAP BO as suggested by SAP, still there are many issues with it. Kindly uninstall the 2013 and downgrade the ms excel version.
