Editing XSD in PI 7.0

Hi Experts,

I am working on XSD to IDOC interface...Client had given a very complex XSD..but now there is a change in it.. few new fields need to be added to that complex XSD...I tried exporting XSD and added the new fields and then reimported and somehow it is not formaing the proper structure..

Is there a way i can edit the XSD in PI screen itself? i am on PI 7.0.

thanks

There is no functionality to edit an External Definition (XSD or WSDL) directly in PI, even on the latest 7.4 version.

You can only edit PI defined Data Type, but not External Definition.

Ideally, the source system should provide you with a updated XSD for you to import into PI. If you really need to edit the XSD yourself and not familiar with doing so with a plain text editor, you can go for XML tools like XMLSpy, Oxygen (but these tools require licensing.)

HI Smith,

My few cents, you can use an external editor like editx (Free XML Editor) or the xmpspy.

Regards.
