access key after system startup

hi all,

SAP system was shutdown without closing properly and after startup my IDES is asking access key when I try to edit any ZProgram.

Similar problem was faced by myself when I try to work with webdynpro and it was solved using tcode which I forgot. I use to delete some records thereby it would enable to edit zprogram.

When I supply correct access key for idadmin it is saying incorrect access key.

Did any one has a solution.

I request moderators not to reject this discussion since I have tried my level best to find the solution but I couldn't find any answer.

thanks.

Hi,

You last post on this was rejected because it was deemed to be a pretty basic question about developer keys.

When you say your system is asking for a key when you want to edit a program, is it asking for a developer key?  If so, there is vast amounts of information about how to request developer keys if you search or indeed speak to some of your basis colleagues, or whoever has set up this legitimate IDES system...

Cheers,

G.

p.s. You recollection of fiddling locks and stuff via a TCODE suggests a dodgy work-around to me - I'd question whether you correctly applied a dev key to a valid IDES system...

hi gareth,

thanks for your reply.

This is a IDES system for learning purpose.

until three days ago it was working fine with idadmin user.

once system got shutdown this problem has started.

check whether key is present in table DEVACCESS. If so, try to use it.

Is there any chance you can share a screenshot of the problem?

key(01117013812115625646) is present in devaccess table for user idadmin

hi

also I have noted the following error in syslog

operating system call gethostbyname failed error 11004

So, you need to register your user as a developer for the system and get a dev key - what's the problem?!

user idadmin was already registered and was working to create and edit zprograms.

but when unexpectedly sap system was shutdown this problem started.

So if you already had a dev key for the user, why can't you just apply it?

but now it is not working for any user.

is there any tcode which will clear off unfinished transactions which are locked and due to which it is not allowing me to edit or create z program.

I don't think your problem has anything to do with locks - where are you getting the Dev Key from?

Dev key depends on username and installation number i guess. The installation number 0123456789..in your screenshot is unrealistic. Maybe someone tampered with the system in a dangerous way.

It is definitely wrong developer access key . User should be registered to get access key .

And access key is user specific also .
