One Report is not running in sap bw at client side for 1 Location only - Rest is fine

Hi Friends,

We are using SAP BW3.5 and on one or two locations only one report is not running rest all reports are running .

Inputs

1. The same report is running on our side in our PC with user's login.

2. SAP GUI 7.3 - Patch level 10 is installed  with MS Office 2007 ( Macros settings done)

3. We tried our login and still only that single report is not working

4. SAP Basis help is minimal in this case

5. Roles assigned are similar to other location users.

Kindly suggest your views , at first it seems to be network issue but howcome all other reports are working then that.one only.

Hi Tarun,

1) have you tried to run the report with your credentials in client machine.

2) do you know any other user(one of his/her colleagues in same location) who can able to run the report without any issues, if yes, compare that user roles with the client roles who has issue.

3) is that client can able to run other reports in his machine.

4) is the client can able to run the same report earlier without any issues.

4) is that report has any authorization relevant objects, may be that would be the reason.

just try to analyse it in all the possible ways, if client cann't run any report then might be some changes(software or hardware) happened recently to his machine, ask client about the same.

Thanks for writing.Here are the answer of your queries...

1) have you tried to run the report with your credentials in client machine.- Yes, only that report is not running , rest is working fine from my login as well.

2) do you know any other user(one of his/her colleagues in same location) who can able to run the report - without any issues, if yes, compare that user roles with the client roles who has issue.-- No , on that particular location , no ther user is able to run that report , earlier they were able to .

3) is that client can able to run other reports in his machine.- Yes , he can run other reports without any issues

4) is the client can able to run the same report earlier without any issues.- Yes, but suddenly all users are not getting the report earlier they were able to fetch.

4) is that report has any authorization relevant objects, may be that would be the reason.- As if being an authorisaction issues, it should not be accessible to other locations and at my location as well.

Roles assigned are same to all the users at all the locations.To me it seems to be a network issue but we are not able to identify exactly with all relevant information since this is on particular report.

Plese suggest the ways or your views on the same .

Hi Tarun,

Try with RSECADMIN t-code to do analysis on that query on behalf of client user id with log option and see you can able to find anything, but am not sure this is available in BW3.5 otherwise try to find similar kind of t-code which you can do analysis in 3.5.

Are the client using portal to access the report, check are there any personalization done with variables in the report, if yes, delete personalization and run it.

Hi Vengal,

They are using Workbooks to run the report , its showing only single record when they open that report and input screen does not come so no personalisation of variables is done , its input screen is not getting populated .
