Agentry Deployment methods

Hi,

I was reading about Agentry application deployment, amongst other things, when selecting the application file to deploy, SAP mentions the following in the documentation:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When deploying Agentry applications, you can select:

  • .agp files – Agentry application definition files.
  • .agpz files – zip files containing Agentry application definition files and additional development artifacts.
  • .zip files – files that have been created from existing Agentry application definitions in SAP Control Center by downloading specific Agentry metadata.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

But when i look at any documentation about deploying the Agentry application, the only method everywhere i look seems to be to zip the Application folder along with the required dll's and the jar's at the same level as the folder and to select that as application from CC or from smp mobile cockpit application screen..

Is there anywhere i can find information about deploying .agp or .agpz files. Curious maybe they have some advantages in some situations..

Thanks,..
