Hi,
When we execute t-code PPOSE, we get multiple option to find org unit, position, job and other OM objects like
1. Free Search,
2. Search Term,
3. Structure Search,
4. Object History.
Can any consultant help me to understand how the above four functionality works in SAP.
BR,
S
Hi S,
free search -> this search help uses an infoset (from sq02). You can add here complex selection criterias based on the assigned infoset (which contains infotypes of specific objects).
search term -> you can look for objects with its names (abbreviation) or part of the name with wildcards (*). ALso if you know the exact objectID (numeric) you can use it too to find your object.
structure search -> you will see here all the root objects. if you choose one of them you will see the structure under
object history -> your latest search results
Hope it helps

It is just similar to find the right object and it's history from Implemented Organization structure since once we implement the system we can see many objects since it is difficult to find out the required one where exactly it is to identify them there are options been provided accordingly you can sort by using those options and you can find out the history of an object.
