Construct statistics - some questions

Hello

Do I need process "Construct Statistics" in process chain

if indices are just already recreated.

Do I need to run "Construct Statistics" every time I add/remove data from cube? Does it recreates the previous statistics?

Hi,

Apart from what was mentioned, The statistics data would be used to load the BW Stats cube which is then used to analyze many things such as how many times a query was accessed, what time was it loaded, etc..

So it is always better if you maintain statistics for your cube irrespective of the volume of data in it.

Yes for your first question.

SAP suggests that you run it whenever you load more than 1M records.

Yes for your second question.

It is a best practice to run for every Cube in the Process Chain.Database deadlocks could be dealt separately.
