S4H HANA 1610 Self-Service procurement - Create catalogs in S4H ECC

HI ,

As part of simplification list for Self service procurement in S4H 1610 on premise release it is stated that SRM MDM catalog is no more available.

So as a replacement do we have an option to create catalog directly in S/4 HANA . Based on my research we can create a MATERAIL MASTER catalog for all the articles. However let us know if there is any other explict option to create catalog , group the articles under catalog and use in purchase requisitions creation.

Have you managed to set up the material master catalog? If so, are you able to share how you set up the call structure of the web service?

You can import data from MDM catalog into staging DB using either Jason file or HTTPs web services and then index catalog data. For enabling customer fields you can do it in the INCLUDE structure MMPUR_CA_INCL_CAT_ITM of the table MMPUR_CAT_ITM. For more details you can refer SAP note 2214564
