Fields available in extract structure but not in data source

If a field is available in extract structure, does it mean that it should also be visible in the datasource as well so that we can hide/unhide it?

I've created a generic datasource on top an infoset query. There are many additional fields in the info set but I cannot see them in the data source even though the Hide Field option is not checked anywhere.

I can see them in the extract structure which has 215 columns but the datasource fetches only 90 columns

Also, I made sure that in ROOSFIELD table , the Selection column does not have "A" as the value for these invisible fields.( The value is P for all fields)

Any ideas?

Thanks

and I forgot to say that when I create a query in SQ01 on top of my infoset, there are no problems and I can see the additional fields of the infoset.

Update:

The extractor checker list seems to have a limitation of 90 columns so I hid some of the extra fields to make space for the others.

Also, I set the "Like Reference" of an additional field in the infoset and now I can see the field in the data source but not in the Extractor Checker.

Maybe it's better to create another discussion now that the problem has changed

Hi Dinesh,

Thanks for the reply.

I've already read that document but as mentioned in my original post, the selection column in ROOSField table has "P" as the value for all the fields of my datasource. And when I hide a field in RSA6, it changes to "3".

Hi,

Please check and make sure that the InfoSet Query contains as many output fields as you need. Logically speaking I would expect that this will be the basis for the available DataSource fields. The InfoSet fields should determine the maximum theoretically available fields.

Could it be that the Extract Structure relates to the 215 fields and the InfoSet Query only contains 90 fields?

Best regards,
Sander

Hi Sander,

Thanks for the reply.

I counted the number of fields in the infoset.Strangely, there are around 170 fields in the infoset but the extract structure has 215 and the ROOSField table has 215 too for the datasource.

But why does the extractor checker return only 90 fields??
