Is it possible to round trip reverse-engineering of BPMN2 files (.bpmn extension)?? If so, how can be done?

Does PowerDesigner integrate with Camunda? What is the added value? Any use cases?

Yes, SAP PowerDesigner supports import and export of .bpmn2 files (I believe we look for the .bpmn2 extension by default, but you can navigate to any file and extension that contains valid BPMN 2 XML).

You must have the Business Process Model installed and licensed, so depending on the version of PowerDesigner you have, the BPM may not be available to you.  However, with the BPM, this feature is fully supported, and you can access it via the File -> Import -> BPMN2 File... and File -> Export -> BPMN2 File...

Note - to export BPMN2, you must have a BPM model open and have it targeting the BPMN 2 Descriptive or Executable BPM language.

It also works in the PD 16.5 SP04 Web UI.
