Hi

Have a look to the following Document - SAP First Guidance - SEM/BW Configuration in So... | SCN

There you can find the correct procedure to connect the Systems despite if it is a ABAP or JAVA based System.

Best Regards Roland

Hi Majappa,

I have had this requirement also from my Basis Colleagues in Solution Manager 7.1...

Process I followed:

1) Install a diagnostics agent on the NW7.3 system

- Download the latest SWPM from Software Downloads | SAP Support Portal

- Download the appropriate Kernel

- Run sapinst to install the Diagnostics Agent

- Continue installation, connecting the Agent to the SLD of the solution manager system and set up the direct connection to Solution Manager.

- Installation complete

2) In Solman 7.1 - SOLMAN_SETUP transaction, go to System Prep > Step 6.7 > edit > get agents to ensure that your Diagnostics Agent has connected successfully to the Solution Manager System ( Green Icon ).

3) Managed System Setup - Complete steps "Assign Product Information " and " Enter System Parameters - But mainly the RFC Creation Step.

Creating the RFC's is the main focus after assigning the Product Information!

Dear Manjappa,

normaly this way

1) configure your java system to send data to your solution manager sld (or syncronizing ones)

Setting Up the SLD Data Supplier for AS Java-Based Systems - Configuring, Working with and Administe...

2) Wait or force the lmdb syncronisation

3) Setup the connection via Managed System Configuration (solman_setup -> SAP Solution Manager Configuration)

4) You can not start a MOPZ or Maintainance Cycle via lmdb to generate a stack file

best regards

You need to install diagnostics agent on your NW 7.3 server.

Then perform solman_setup --> Managed system configuration for your NW 7.3 server on Solman.
