This is in response to a posting in another space.

I have unashamedly stolen this from Caetano Almeida
Hello Friends from the QM space.
I have been observing that there are several old threads from past years that are still opened. Some of those threads were already answered or useful answers were given, however, they are kept open by the author. Being a moderator of this space, it's impossible for me to review all the past threads and sometimes I can't tell exactly what was the correct answer.
Therefore, I'd like to ask for each one of you to review your old threads and select the useful or correct answers, to close those threads which were solved. If you found the solution by yourself, please share the solution on the thread and mark your own answer as correct.
I suggest you all to read the following blog post, which explains how to close a thread and why should we always do that:
How to close a discussion and why
Thank you all for the effort and I wish you a happy 2015!
Best regards
Craig
A lot of the issue if many of the old threads are from users who are no longer active and might never be again.
We've made suggestions that posts with no activity after 6 months should automatically be closed with some type of status.. I beleive that's kind of why they have the "Assmed Answer" status.. But I don't know who applies that status now or when. I believe the global mods can use that.
We've also suggested that SAP limit how many threads you can have open. I.e. if you had more than 5 threads open, you wouldn't be allowed to post any new ones.

Bonjour Señor Craig,
I extend my sincere thanks to you for taking up this initiative, as this should fix some of the open topics (even if it's repetitive and already posted before).
Normally when we as normal users try to look for discussions threads, if the thread if still flagged as "Not Answered", then normally we tend to keep on searching more even though we go through it, with a hope that "Answered' or "Assumed Answer" threads will have more accurate feedback. At times "Helpful Answer" flagged answers are also something we search and try to check if that is also helping our issue or not. So I support your drive and hope we see a better result soon.
Thanks,
Arijit

Welcome back Sir. Good to see you back with the bang
Well this is one another try to get the users close their long pending threads. Hope to see some improvement very soon.
Reagards,
Nitin

Hi Craig
It would be very nice if each active user could review his old threads and close them. Unfortunately, may users don't do that, even after a direct message asking them to do that.
I hope that all the QM users can answer to your call to close old threads.
Regards
Caetano
