Refurbishment order, no Purchase request

Hello,

if I create a Refurbishment order (Order type PM04) and  add a Component a order reservation is created. That's ok, so far.

But the MRP creates a purchase request, which should not happen.

If I create a order that is no refurbishment (order type e.g.. PM01) and a the same component, a reservation is also created.

But here the MRP doesen't create a purchase request.

I would like that refurbishment orders also not create a purchase request.

Is this possible? How can this be realized?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

For doing refurbishment process we are going to use PM03 control key with PM04 order type in standard sap system.

I have one query on this, do you want to create Purchase Reservation or Requisition while doing refurbishment process  or not.

Let us know ....

If you don't want to create any Reservation or Requisition please find the below configuration screen and keep never.

SPRO

>Plant Maintenance and Customer Service

   > Maintenance and Service Processing

      > Maintenance and  Service Order

         > Functions and  Settings for Order Types

            > Define Change Documents, Collective Purchase Requisition, MRP relevance

If you want to create Purchase Reservation , keep "L" in the item category , then you can find the Reservation created for that particular order.

Hello

The Refurbish Material which you are using in Refurbishment work order is subject to MRP run .

Please check material's MRP type in MRP tabs of Material Master (reorder quantity, safety stock)

Hello Rakesh,

I tried it with a material with MRP type ND.

A reservations was created and no Purchase Request.

But I'm wondering why order type PM01 and material with MRP type Y1 not creating a purchase request and order type PM04 with same material and MRP type will create one.

Hi SB,

Did you use the same component for both the situation ?

Check the component, whether there is any MRP is activated.

Terence

Whether reservation is created or PR is created in a work order doesn't depend on the order type PM01 or PM04. It depends upon the control key used in the components tab. Please ensure that when you are the creating refurbishment order it is using standard PM01 control key and not PM03/PM04 in the components tab.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Tajinder

Hello Tajinder,

which contorl key do you mean?

Sorry, I was referring to the control key used in the 'Operations' tab and not components tab. So we create operations in operation tab and assign components to operations in the components tab. I would say that you please check that the control key in operations tab has PM01 as control key.

Also, the item category for the line item in operation should not be 'N' if you don't want Preq to get created.

Thanks,

Tajinder

The operation already has PM01 as control key.

Where is item category?
